Where do we get the fuel to scale our productivity?
"For starters, we have our own really good Jura coffee machine with nice beans right here in the hub. But during the day, you can go to WAY Coffee across the street. They have their own roastery, their own bakery, and serve the best coffee in the neighborhood. Definitely one of the better ones in Ghent."
Where would you take prospects for a tasty lunch?
"At Hal 16, which is right here on-site, you can get great pizza: some of the best in Ghent, actually. They also have RØK, where they make smoked meats and smoked food. That's combined with a microbrewery, Dok Brewing Company, which has its own craft beers with several options on tap."
Where can you find great team building activities?
"The hub is a great mix of work and fun. If you're working here with a team and want a night out, there's O’Leary’s, an Irish pub with lots of screens, karaoke, bowling, and an arcade. Just make sure to book ahead, because it's always packed."
Where do you take visitors for the best local experience?
"There are two main places I always think of: the Sint-Michiels Bridge with its view of the three towers and cozy surrounding restaurants, and VIERNULVIER (Vooruit). It's always buzzing and full of life. You constantly run into people you know: actors, singers, or famous writers. You can grab some spaghetti, and the whole atmosphere is super artistic."
What's the exit strategy for Friday at 5 PM?
"I’d say Bar Bassie at the Wintercircus, which has a rooftop bar and a view of the skyline. It’s on the pricier side, but it’s a really cool spot. Alternatively, just grab a crate of beer and sit by the water or in a park. Or stay right here and head to O’Leary’s or the outdoor terrace at Hal 16."
